Alan Dukes
Alan Dukes was born in Dublin in 1945. After a postgraduate degree in International Trade and Economic Integration from UCD, he was appointed Economic Advisor and subsequently Chief Economist to the Irish Farmers' Association. In 1973, he became Director of the IFA's Brussels office. From 1977 to 1980, he was an Advisor in the cabinet of Commissioner Richard Burke, dealing with Consumer Affairs, Aviation Policy and Relations with the European Parliament. In 1981, he was elected to Dail Eireann, and remained a Member until May, 2002.
During that period, he served at various times as Minister for Agriculture, Minister for Finance, Minister for Justice and Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications, and as Chair of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Foreign Affairs.
He was Leader of Fine Gael and Leader of the Opposition from March, 1987 to November 1990.
At the request of the Irish Government, he chaired the AgriVision 2015 group which reported in 2005 on a strategy for the development of agriculture and the food industry.
From January 2003 until December 2007 he was Director-General of the Institute of European Affairs, Dublin. He is currently Public Affairs Consultant with WHPR, Dublin and a non-executive Director of Anglo Irish Bank. He is Chair of the Alliance Francaise de Dublin and a member of the Board of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. In April, 2004, President Kwasniewski of Poland awarded him the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland. In June, 2004, the French Government appointed him Officier de la Legion d'Honneur.
Paddy Caffrey
Born in Co Donegal, went to school in St Columbs in Derry, then graduated in Electrical Engineering from UCD. Awarded Honorary Doctorate by Higher Education and Training Awards Council in 2004 in recognition of services to industry in Ireland.
Former Vice President and Managing Director Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals.
Following early retirement from Pfizer currently holds a number of non-executive director positions. Mentor in the Enterprise Ireland Mentor Network.;-p:

Interests include sport, keen golfer, walking, gardening.

Alan Hyde
Alan was born in Cork in 1963. He was reared and lived in Innishannon,Co.Cork and now lives in Rochestown,Co.Cork. He attended Boarding School at the De La Salle Colaiste Iosagain,Ballyvourney. In 1981—1985 he attended University College Cork for a four year degree course in Dairy Science.

- 1986 to 1987 Glanbia,Ballytore,Co Kildare. Production Manager in New Liquid Milk Facility serving the Dublin Market.
- 1987 to 1993 Sales Manager of APV Invensys Ireland (Part of Invensys Plc,an Ft 100 Company.) Technology and Process Engineering suppliers to the Dairy,Pharmaceutical and Brewing Industry.
- 1993 to 2000 Sales Director Invensys A/S Silkeborg Denmark. Co-Ordinating the sales of large Turnkey Engineering projects. Special responsibility for Australasia,and South America.
- 2000 to 2003 Consultant to Invensys A/S Denmark.
- 2000 to 2009 European and US Agent for the Muller Group Leppersdorf,Germany and St Clemens Food Products,Denmark.Sold this Agency in March 2009.
Tom McGuinn
Tom was born in Co Sligo and was amongst the first cohorts to graduate in pharmacy from University College Dublin in 1964 when he also became registered as a pharmaceutical chemist and elected a Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
]He then spent over two years in production with Antigen Ltd in Roscrea, Co Tipperary where he was head of the company’s Injections and Sterile Products Division. Subsequently, he joined Allen and Hanburys (now part of the Glaxo Group). In 1967, he joined the newly established National Drugs Advisory Board where in addition to the evaluation of submissions for the approval of new and reformulated medicinal products to be placed on the market, he was introduced to the concepts of pharmaceutical regulation. In 1971, he was elected to the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society and served on the Council until he joined the Department of Health in 1977. In 1979, he was conferred as a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
In 1982, he was appointed Chief Pharmacist in the Department of Health and subsequently served as a member of the National Drugs Advisory Board and its Committees and on the General Medical Services Payments Board. He also served as a member of the Poisons Council and is its current Chairman. He also served on a number of European bodies including the EU Pharmaceutical Committee and the European Pharmacopoeia Commission.
Since he retired from the Department of Health in 2005, he has been acting part time as a pharmaceutical consultant. He is also acting in an honorary capacity as Chairperson of the Irish Centre for Continuing Pharmaceutical Education (ICCPE).
